Boje Chill Towel

So, this chilling towel is made out of PVA chamois material. It absorbs perspiration all the while keeping you cool. It is great for all ages. From babies to older adults. It comes in three different colors, black, blue, and pink. I chose the blue.

It comes in a plastic container and has a latch on the lid. It makes it very easy to latch onto gym bags, stroller bar, etc. You could also just throw it into your tote bag as well.

When I opened the container and pulled out the towel I noticed there was an odd smell. I am sure that is to be expected seeing as it is new. After rinsing it out I noticed the odor disappeared. The material is very soft to the touch on both sides. I noticed that the towel was a little moist except for the ends. They were dry and stiff whenever I initially pulled the towel out of the packaging.

The instructions say to rinse in cold water before use, rinse once more before storing it in the container, and to hand wash lightly in salted water if it becomes odorous.

I initially got this for my husband for whenever he mows and is outside doing yard work since the warmer weather is heading our way. He has not gotten to test it out as of yet. My daughter was diagnosed with the flu and had a fever. I ran the towel under semi cold water and used it on her forehead. It did stay cool for at least a good 30 minutes before I had to turn it over to the other side. Washcloths get hot very quickly, so it was nice not having to run back and forth to the sink to rewet her wash cloth.

The towel does not get extremely cold, but it does remain cool for a good period of time. When it dries it becomes extremely stiff and not very pliable. It has the texture of cardboard. At the same time, I am very worried about keeping it moist in the container. I am afraid that mold will develop, and I will have to throw it away. Another con I can see is where it is quite wide that it would be hard to keep around your neck if you are very active. For example, I could see a runner or jogger having problems keeping it around their neck. Although, you could still use it for a wipe down afterward.

I do see the family using the towel during the summer months, and I plan on using it on my toddler whenever we go to Dollywood to keep her cool from the heat.

I received this item at a discount for my unbiased and honest review.
