Zink Happy Wireless Multifunction Portable Digital Photo Booth Printer

This Zink Happy wireless printer is so neat!  It is multifunctional, and the ideas are endless.  It will work with Android Smartphones and Tablets as well as Iphones and Ipads. Everything you need is included in the box.  The only additional item you need is high-speed internet and a wireless router (WiFi)

What you get is:
  • Printing Unit
  • AC Power Adapter
  • Cleaning zRoll
  • 1/2" zRoll
  • Startup Guide

The unit has some nice features.  There are 2 WiFi Modes.  Direct Connect Mode which will light up white, and Home WiFi Mode which is blue in color.  The WiFi button is located in the left corner.  The zRoll Lock Button is located on the right corner.  This is where you lock and unlock the roll.  Once it is in place you would press the button to Lock it.  When you are finished printing you would press it again and Unlock the roll to take it out of the back of the unit.  The ridge at the front of the unit is the Swipe to Cut Groove.  When you are ready to cut your label you would take your finger and just swipe.  There is a Micro USB Port near the Power Button on the back corner of the unit.  The Print Output Slot is located on the front of the unit.  This is where the photos, labels, etc will print out at.

I found the setup to be really simple.  It is quite self-explanatory, but if you have any questions you can reference the guide.  It is easy to follow and has pictures for those that are more visual.

The first thing I done was plugged in the AC power adapter to the unit.  It is located on the bottom of the printer.  There are two notches located on the side to run the cord inside the groove. This keeps the cord out of the way.  Then, I plugged it into the wall outlet and proceeded to turn it on.  It takes just a few short seconds to power the printer up.  I would estimate 20-30 seconds.

After that, I loaded the zRoll into the back of the printer.  This is simple to do.  You just pull the label off and then line it up in the back.  After it is lined you just push the roll until you hear a slight click.  If it is installed properly then a small piece of the roll will eject from the print output.  Also, the lock button will change from blinking to solid white.

After the roll was installed I then grabbed my Samsung Galaxy S6 and went straight to Google Play Store.  I did a search for "Zink Design & Print Studio" and downloaded the app.  After the download was complete I created an account.  The prompts were simple to understand and complete. From there I went into the app and created a quick design.  There are several different backgrounds, art, frames, fonts, etc.  You can use your own photos from your Gallery, Facebook, or even Instagram. You can create address labels, print your child's photo, name and address for their school books, backpacks, especially if they are on a field trip in case they get lost.  You could use this to print out Christmas labels or anything really.  The zRoll is sticky with an adhesive.  It is recommended to use the Cleaning zRoll every 20 or 30 prints.  When inserted it will start the cleaning cycle.

I just love how you do not have to worry about buying ink cartridges, ribbons, or toners.  I did notice with my little label that the ink was slightly lighter when printed out than what was on the app.  I have to say, though, this printer is pretty awesome, and you can do a ton of crafty things with it.  We have had all kinds of fun printing out things.  I will be buying the bigger rolls once this 1/2" runs out.  I may end up updating with a video to show exactly how easy it is to operate this unit.  If you are interested in purchasing this awesome printer you can click HERE
